Jessica Puglié
Yoga Instructor ERYT 500 PLUS Senior LVL 4
I teach in English and Italian
I approached the practice of yoga after leaving my dance career. In 1998 I moved to London to satisfy my desire to explore the world and learn another language. I became a yoga teacher in 2006. My trainings include 200h and 500h advanced Dharma yoga training under the teaching of Sir Dharma Mittra and hot yoga, which I also taught as a senior teacher.
In my 17 years of teaching I have taught classes, Yoga retreats/holidays and workshops in Italy, London and Indonesia. In London I taught for renowned yoga centers Triyoga and Indaba yoga.
My interest in alternative therapies and anatomy led me to attend several courses including reflexology, anatomytrains fascia seminars, Forrest yoga continuing education for teachers and a Soft Tissue therapy course in London. Lately I have returned to attending dance classes and anatomy courses with therapists, teachers and choreographers (Tom Mayer, Russel Maliphant ). Combining my experience in the physical/therapeutic field of yoga, the studios of philosophy, breathing exercises/meditation with dance experience, at the present I teach a dynamic mix of different styles and traditions. My asana teaching also includes repetitions of functional and organic movements, mirroring multidimensional actions of everyday life, coordination, strength and flexibility'. The style is a mix between the traditional and the experimental, creative, playful and in constant evolution, full of variations for all levels of practice. I am a firm believer in the power of conscious movement and in the unique power of intuition that everyone possesses, that gives us the ability to find space, freedom and control of body and mind.
Registered with Yoga Alliance as ERYT 500 PLUS Senior LVL 4 yoga teacher, I also teach a 25h intensive called "Natural Yoga" and a 50h teacher training program called "Anatomy and the art of movement" in which I transmits all my knowledge of years of experience, from breathing exercises / meditation, anatomical application in postures and transitions, to the art of teaching creative and functional sequences following the organic movement of the body. I am also a member of the Italian sports association CSI.
I really enjoy watching people discover the power of their own intuition through experimentation, concentration, observation and action...and of course movement! ;-)
